The earliest report of the Yellow Pear tomato goes back to 1811, and it first showed up in catalogs in the 1860's.

Yellow Pear tomatoes add a certain something to a salad or fresh vegetable platter. Their bright yellow color and perfect pear shape make these some of the prettiest tomatoes in the garden. These are mild, sweetly flavored cherry size tomatoes.

Popping a Yellow Pear tomato into your mouth is like biting into pure sunshine. The tomatoes are firm and juicy, with a bright, nicely balanced flavor that is hard to beat.

Get ready for clusters of 1-2" yellow fruits growing on indeterminate vines all season! It's an early producer that gives you a high yield of tomatoes.

Each packet contains 20 seeds minimum.

Plant careSow indoors 5-7 weeks before transplanting. Keep evenly moist through germination. Transplant hardened-off seedlings and bury a good part of the stem after last frost. Enrich soil with mature compost. Deep fertile soil with abundant phosphorus is essential for early yields. Water moderately, allowing soil surface to dry between waterings. Use mulch to conserve soil moisture and control weeds. Harvest ripe fruits while still firm. When frost threatens, ripen remaining fruit indoors. Indeterminate varieties of tomatoes are also called "vining" tomatoes. They will grow and produce fruit until killed by frost and can reach heights of up to 10 feet although 6 feet is considered the norm. They will bloom, set new fruit and ripen fruit all at the same time throughout the growing season. They require substantial caging and/or staking for support and pruning and the removal of suckers is practiced by many but is not mandatory. Store seeds in cool, dry dark conditions.
